Who we are

Style De Vie Ltd ("Style De Vie", "we", "us") operates the website www.styledevie.net and the associated curated membership network described elsewhere on this site.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to evaluate membership applications, deliver events and intelligence to members, and communicate about the network. Specifically:

• Membership applications — name, role, organization, country, email, phone (optional), LinkedIn (optional), referrer (optional), and the motivation you write.
• Newsletter — your email address, and a tag indicating where you subscribed from.
• Operational logs — limited request metadata (IP, user-agent, timestamps) retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

• Review and respond to your application personally, within five business days.
• Send transactional communications (application confirmation, invoices, event details).
• Send periodic intelligence briefs and event invitations — only if you opted in or you are a member.
• Improve the platform and protect it from abuse.

Legal basis

We process applications on the basis of your request to enter into a relationship with Style De Vie. We process newsletter emails on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We process operational logs on the basis of legitimate interests in keeping the service secure.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers we use to operate the platform — currently our email provider, our payment processor (for member invoicing), and our hosting and database providers. Each of these is bound by contractual confidentiality and processes data under our instructions.

Where it is stored

Personal data is held in the European Union (Frankfurt region) on encrypted-at-rest infrastructure. Operational backups follow the same regional and encryption standards.

How long we keep it

• Applications: retained while under review, and for the duration of any membership that results. Rejected applications are erased on request or after 24 months, whichever comes first.
• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
• Operational logs: 30 days unless required for an active security investigation.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information by writing to info@styledevie.net. We respond within 30 days. These rights are available regardless of jurisdiction; they map directly to your rights under Nigeria's NDPR and the EU GDPR.

Children

Style De Vie is intended for adults engaged in professional, diplomatic, investment, or institutional activity. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We will update this notice as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced via the network's normal channels before they take effect.
